According to the ASPCA, “the key to a happy and healthy dog is regular enrichment and allowing them to engage in their innate behaviors, such as playing, chasing, smelling, chewing and scavenging. By allowing your dog to engage in these behaviors, you allow them to be physically, emotionally and mentally satisfied. Dogs who don’t receive stimulation tend to find ways to enrich themselves, resulting in unwanted behaviors".
For this reason, we interact daily with each dog and with the group to come up with fun and exciting things for them to do , such as:
We also make learning fun while reinforcing good behaviors. We do that via mini-training sessions, practicing good manners such as:
In addition to our daily structured activities, we also engage in weekly, monthly or seasonal events such as puppy painting, photo ops, virtual trips, splash day with an outdoor kiddie pool, etc. We want your dog to have fun and use his natural instincts while with us because we believe that dogs need enrichment to reduce stress in a non-destructive way and that it helps build the bond between them and us (as their caretakers).
Due to our busy daycare schedule, we can no longer board dogs (in our daycare building) who do not actively participate in daycare. If you do not have time for a daycare evaluation - or if your pet doesn't do well with others - please consider using our sister company for pet-sitting services either in your home or in a host's home.
